Our Favorite Drapery Design Moments from 2015

As 2015 moves into its final months, we like taking the opportunity to look back over the year and think about some of our favorite moments. It was a great year for drapery design, and a great year for Drapery Street!

Last year at this time, we shared what we as drapery professionals were thankful for. This year, we have a few more things to add to the list!

Design Simple

Design Simple

One of the highlights of 2015 was launching our Design Simple program. Design Simple was created to make the process of choosing custom drapes easy and affordable. We’re proud to offer hundreds of options for draperies and hardware, plus an in-home consultation and installation, at a flat, per-window rate. Design Simple has allowed us to bring more beauty to more homes, something that we truly love to do!

Window Film

This year we were able to add high quality window film from Huper Optik to the list of products we offer, and we’re excited about this expansion. Window film has many benefits, including its ability to help regulate the temperature in your home and the protection it offers against fading. Having this product available to our clients means we can help create windows that are not only beautiful, but practical as well.

Local Artists and Designers

Designer Spotlight | Rebecca Stratton

This year, we’ve featured collaborations with designers like Cory Martinson and Rebecca Stratton on our blog. We’ve also had designer Jill Huse and local artist Anne Cleary in our store to show off their work and answer questions. Home-a-rama 2015 offered us the chance to team up with Wendy Langston of Everything Home to create some lovely designs. And these are just a few of the wonderful opportunities we’ve had to work with local artists and designers. We’re thankful to be in a community with so many talented people who are adding beauty to the world.

Automation

Home automation is growing in popularity, and we’re thankful that our store is a Hunter Douglas gallery, so we can keep up with this trend. We offer a wide variety of options for automation, including the cutting-edge PowerView™ technology that allows you to fully automate when and how your window treatments open or close.  Automation is a safe and practical option that makes our clients lives a little bit easier.

We wouldn’t be able to celebrate all these moments if it weren’t for our wonderful clients who welcome us into their homes, and our talented team of designers who transform rooms with their creations. These people are the heart of what we do, and we are thankful for them every day!

Would you like windows that reflect your style in 2016? Schedule your in-store consultation or book your Design Simple appointment. We’d love to give you well-dressed windows that will be the highlight of your year.
