Room-darkening treatments in bedrooms are especially helpful for individuals who work nightshift and need to sleep during the daytime. They are also our recommended choice for bedrooms that have windows that face streetlights, landscape lights, or high-trafficked streets.

Can I achieve complete darkness/total blackout?
No room-darkening products can achieve total darkness, even those labeled as "blackout" treatments. However, we can get your room as close to complete darkness as possible with our state-of-the-art room darkening products & systems. We can also layer products (for example, room-darkening shades paired with room darkening draperies) for unparalleled room-darkening performance.
What is LightLock™?
The LightLock™ system from Hunter Douglas is the only one of its kind to provide such powerful room-darkening effects. It uses U-shaped side channels that blend seamlessly into the window frame and absorbs & deflecting incoming light from all angles.

Yes! Our room-darkening treatments can be motorized to open with the touch of a button or the sound of your voice.
