Job Description

  • Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials for quality

  • Maintain industrial sewing machines and tools

Drapery Street’s Sales & Designer Training Program

Job Description

Are you a high-energy individual who enjoys meeting and working with people?! Do you find your friends and family often come to you for design advice? If so, Drapery Street will be a great fit for you!

Start your design career with Drapery Street, Indiana’s premiere modern window-treatment firm and Hunter Douglas gallery. We are looking to hire immediately for an associate in our full-time Sales and Designer Program.

As part of the Designer Program, you will be on a path to work with Indiana’s top designers and homeowners. Associates in this program will:

  • Assist in multiple behind-the-scenes sales functions such as answering sales calls for general information and helping customers by recommending the best products and solutions to support their needs.
  • Assist Senior Designers in developing design boards and designing and quoting window treatment solutions.
  • Use a customer relationship management (CRM) system and phone system effectively
  • Work together with Showroom Manager and Senior Designers to provide outstanding customer service for both existing and prospective customers

Drapery Street specializes in working with homeowners, buyers, interior designers and builders who feel overwhelmed with options, want qualified design input, or are scared because they know they will keep their treatments for 20+ years and don’t want to make a wrong decision. Successful candidates will be problem solvers who are dependable and effective communicators.

We provide paid training; experience is not necessary. We have trained successful team members from all backgrounds, including those from Hospitality to the Customer Service industry. Ideally, in your background you will have demonstrated:

  • A sense of style or personal brand
  • Technical aptitude, strong work ethic, and stable work history
  • A customer-oriented approach with good communication skills
  • Tech-savvy
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A valid driver’s license is required. A background check will include a driving record review.

Starting pay at 45k – 65k will be based on expertise and experience. We offer health care benefits, an IRA match, and short-term disability coverage. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm with occasional evenings or Saturdays required.

Installation Specialist

Position

Drapery Street, a Hunter Douglas dealer, has an immediate need for an ambitious full-time Installation Specialist to provide installation and repair services to both residential buildings and the construction industry. Come work with us in our Carmel, IN location, where you will:

  • Transport and handle products safely to the customer destination
  • Install units using necessary tools and techniques as recommended
  • Inspect pre-installed product for any malfunctions, as well as conducting final post-installation inspections for proper operation and damage
  • Providing expertise if needed and communicating information in a clear and efficient manner
  • Demo Hunter Douglas products for customers
  • Accepting continual product training and keeping up to date regarding new product and technical specifications
