Do you offer traditional vertical blinds?
We offer three Hunter Douglas vertical blind products:
Cadence® Vertical Blinds are elegantly styled vertical blinds that mimic plush drapery folds.
Somner® Vertical Blinds are available in vinyl, fabric, and aluminum styles in many colors and finishes.
Vertical Solutions® Vertical Blinds have a minimalist design, simplified textures, and a neutral color palette so art and furniture can take center stage in a room.
You can view each of these styles in our showrooms in Carmel or Fishers, Indiana.
Which of your products can be motorized or automated?
Nearly all of our products can be motorized! This includes draperies, shutters, blinds, panel-track blinds, and shades (both vertical & horizontal).
We can integrate your treatments with your home automation system. Compatible systems include Google Assistant, Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Crestron®, Logitech®, Lutron, Control4®, Elan®, IFTTT, URC®, RTI, and Savant®.

What is the Vertiglide™ System?
The Vertiglide™ System is available on our Duette® and Applause® Honeycomb Shades. It is a child-safe, cordless operating system that allows you to open and shut your cellular shades from side-to-side. It is an ideal choice for sliding glass doors or can be used as a room divider.
The Vertiglide™ System is available with manual operation or with PowerView Automation. For your convenience, the Vertiglide system features Dual Operation which allows you to activate the shade with any PowerView control device such as the remote or app, or simply operate the shade manually by hand. This convenient feature is ideal for lost remotes, entering the home from outside and for guests without knowledge that the shade is motorized. Please note that PowerView Automation is not available with Applause Honeycomb Shades.
What is the Bypass Track system?
The Bypass Track system is an operating system available on all three of our interior shutter products. This system lets your shutter panels slide past each other without interruption, opening in the same direction of your patio door for ease of use.
What is the Bifold Track system?
The Bifold Track system is an operating system available on all three of our interior shutter products. Shutter panels are hinged together and connected to a top track, which supports the panels and guides their folding movements, allowing you to open them wide and enjoy unobstructed views. This system is a great option for large windows and sliding glass doors.
How much privacy & light control do your treatments provide?
Our window treatments come in a variety of opacities, from room-darkening to light-filtering. They provide adjustable light and privacy control.
Your Drapery Street designer will help you decide which products and fabrics will best meet your privacy and light control needs.
What is the Duolite® system?
The Duolite® system allows you to enjoy room-darkening and light-filtering capabilities with one treatment. It features two shades on a single roller—a sheer or light-filtering front shade and an opaque or room-darkening back shade.
If you want complete control over your light and privacy, consider the Duolite® system. It is available on several of our vertical blind alternatives including our cellular shades, Roman shades, and roller shades.
Can I mix & match vertical treatments with horizontal treatments?
Absolutely! All of our vertical treatments have coordinating or complementary horizontal window coverings.
Your Drapery Street designer can help you choose complementary vertical and horizontal treatments for a cohesive look throughout your room or your entire home. We love mixing and matching treatments to achieve a more unique and functional house!
