Color Pairings: Green and Navy Blue

Dark, moody greens are in! In fact, they are one of our picks for the best fall home design trends. Green is versatile so it can be paired with many different colors. One of our most beloved pairings is green and navy blue. Our designers have put together two distinct looks to inspire your next green and navy blue room.

Decorating with Green and Navy Blue:

Tiffany Needler’s Look:

Decorating with Navy and GreenI am basing my entire look around Fabricut’s wallpaper Adelaida in indigo. I love this wallpaper for its use of bold colors. For the drapes I am selecting a gorgeous fabric, Foxboro Rd. in navy blue, and adding seaming with Hawes St. in midnight. I love the matte finish of the navy blue fabric and the seaming will give the drapes a bit of bling, without being too over the top. For furniture, I am selecting the Simon Chair from the DS Home line. I adore the fun cut out of this chair! I am suggesting Scumacher’s Venetian Silk in velvet emerald for the chair’s fabric. The soft velvet in an emerald color will make the chair pop next to the wallpaper.

Tara Helvey’s Look:

Tara Helvey's navy and green okThe look I’m creating is dramatic, sexy, and sophisticated. It’s for someone who isn’t afraid to make a statement but is also classic and elegant. I’ll use Cole & Son’s Collection of Flowers wallpaper to create a focal point. I love mixing prints so I am choosing the Schumacher fabric Animaux in navy for the window treatments. To balance the room, I am choosing solid fabrics for the furniture. I think the Leo Chair in an emerald green Schumacher velvet would look especially beautiful in this room.
